...and don't forget: seminar food! At LargeU, all the departmental seminars had cookies and coffee, so I cut down on coffee money by going to seminars! The headlining seminars were big catered events, sometimes even with wine service! Keeping up with other departments' seminar schedules can not only help one learn about other fields but score some pretty nice cheese, lunchmeats, and booze!
YAY AMANDA! I like this post. Lucky for me I live in the Caribbean where the last food group (booze) is ridiculously cheap. Really. Cheaper than milk sometimes. Reminds me of why I live here... oh and school of course ;)
